Thoughts...

I've just been thinking about the season...who hasn't. The air has finally chilled here (a frigid 56 degrees for us southies) and the smells of boiling cinnamon sticks and cloves make me think of tasty things. I didn't attend church today due to some stomach bug, but I still felt the urge to bear my testimony.

I know my Savior loves me and each of us. I am truly thankful for His sacrifice and the condescension to come to Earth as a babe. I know the gospel of Christ is true and I know we have a prophet on Earth today to lead and guide us. I am thankful for this guidance in our crazy world, full of sin and sadness. I know by following the commandments of God we can find true joy in this life. I know Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and Christ in a grove and translated the Book of Mormon, another testament to us of Christ and his love for us. I am thankful for the opportunity to have eternal families and know we will be together forever through keeping our temple covenants. I love my family-all of them-and I am excited at the thought of forever with them.

This is the season of love, giving and thankfulness...I truly have so many things to be thankful for!

I too have a testimony of the things you said. It gives me hope that no matter how bad things in life get or the world for that matter, I will always be a daughter of God. And He will always bless us for trying our best.

P.S. Thank you for being a dilligent commenter on my blog. It makes me feel special;)

I missed seeing your sweet spirit at church yesterday, but am glad that you chose to share your testimony on your blog. IT is such a powerful one. Thanks for always being such a great example to me, but most of all to all the children in primary. You truly are a blessing for our ward.
