The True Meaning...

A little while ago, I overheard Josiah telling his little brothers about Santa.

"You know, Santa brings us gifts to help us remember about the true meaning of Christmas. He gives us gifts to remember the greatest gift was Jesus. Jesus was born-that is Heavenly Father's gift and Jesus died for us-that was Jesus's gift for us. So, then all Santa asks is for us to be good like Jesus asks us. I know Santa will bring me lots of gifts, 'cause I've been good...I don't know if you're getting a lot. Maybe you need to be better."

Love that Josiah! Such a great message. The last part cracked me up: "I know Santa will bring me lots of gifts, 'cause I've been good...I don't know if you're getting a lot. Maybe you need to be better."

Oh, I love that little red head of yours (as I love the other two too, of course ;)! He definitely made me giggle with this one. Well, at first I was all sentimental, but then he had me cracking up with his admonition to his brothers on improving their behavior. What a smart little cookie Jos is!

(and what wonderful parents he has to have taught him the true meaning of Christmas so well :)

So sweet... well, minus the older brother line at the end.

That was so insightful and hilarious all at the same time. I love Josiah, probably because he is the only one of yours I really know. Don't know if you remember me playing with him all those years ago, he couldn't have been more than 18 months old, but I suddenly was his favorite person that night.
